Jacob & Co. Astronomia
Jacob & Co. is the reason new Astronomia Revolution Multiply by 4 Axis Tourbillon
For those who thought the triple-axis tourbillon wasn't enough, here is a remedy.
This season, Jacob & Co. remembers the 10th anniversary from the Astronomia collection, which includes probably the most insane, oversized, jewel-encrusted (like diamonds) ultra-high-performance pieces which are also mechanically complex and provide the wearer, among other treats, a veritable dance associated with arms, subdials and rotating gemstones... and, of course , the tourbillon. Either there are many, or even one that spins in all directions. Creating on the first ultra-fast Astronomia Revolution launched in 2023, Jacob & Co. provides the new Astronomia Revolution Multiply by 4 Axis Tourbillon... because 3 just aren't enough.
The new Astronomia Revolution Quadruple Axis Tourbillon keeps Jacob & Co. is actually bold design, with a big rose gold case of forty seven mm in diameter as well as 27 mm thick, along with a high domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Sapphire windows round the case provide multiple perspectives from which to admire the actual intricate movement. In custom with the Astronomia collection, there is absolutely no crown, instead winding and also setting are done via 2 flip-up keys on the caseback.
The dial-side backplate follows the design of the predecessor, with rose gold honeycomb panels, each meticulously mirror-polished and angled precisely. 1 notable difference compared to the earlier Astronomia Revolution is the lack of steel arrow-shaped hands along with synthetic rubies. Was Jacob black simplifying the watch? Wait, that is not the end of the tale.
In this insane Astronomia Revolution, the disk that hosts the tourbillon and time display accomplishes a full rotation every one minute, an impressive leap from the 20-minute rotation of the original Astronomia from 2015. This accomplishment is made possible by a one-sixth-of-a-second constant-force mechanism and a time screen differential. The three-axis traveling tourbillon, located on top of the revolving turntable, now adds any fourth axis to the coreografía, with its movements cycling within 60 seconds (mainboard), 18 secs, 15 seconds and 1 minute respectively.
The actual skeletonized time dial is made from red polycarbonate with used hour markers and rose gold colored dauphine hands. The watch is actually paired with a red crocodile leather strap.
